Obituary for Christen Marie "Christy" Tooher

Christen M. (Smedley) Tooher, 33, of Orlando, Fl, passed suddenly from a CVST on January 24, 2023 at Jefferson hospital for Neuroscience in Philadelphia.
She was born at St. Mary medical center in Langhorne, Pa on May 21st, 1989, to Gerald and Marilyn (Moore) Smedley.
Christy (known as Muffin to many) attended Harry S. Truman high school and graduated class of 2007. She was active in performing at a haunted house under the direction of Midnight Productions for several years. She was married to Ryan M. Tooher on April 6th, 2013. She then started her career as a body piercer at Warrior body piercing in PA and subsequently, Atomic Tattoos when she moved to Florida. Finally, she partnered her practice to Eternal Devotion Tattoos in Orlando. Christy served as a volunteer at Lake Eola park in Orlando, FL where she got to enjoy the wild birds on the lake and had even hand fed swans.
Her gentle uniqueness touched the hearts of so many people wherever she went. She will be so missed by the many who loved her.

She is survived by her husband and soulmate Ryan M. Tooher of Orlando, Fl, her loving parents, Gerald and Marilyn (Moore) Smedley of Croydon, PA, and her brother, David Smedley of Levittown, PA. She is also survived by her aunt Mary (Smedley) Donohue and her husband John of Venice, FL, her parents in law, Tom and Mary (Tooher) Woodward of Lakeland, FL. as well as many extended family members, close friends, and her fur babies Kelly, Sheamus, and Scout.
The family wishes to thank the many who prayed for Christy and the doctors and staff of Jefferson Neurosciences.
