Dorothy C. (Riley) Lavertu of Croydon passed away Friday July 8, 2022, at St. Mary Medical Center. She was 77 years old. Born in Philadelphia to the late George and Dorothy (Kivlin) Riley and was a lifelong resident of Croydon. She enjoyed playing bingo, word search puzzles, trips to Cape May, NJ and loved spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dottie was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 11 years, John O. Lavertu, Sr. Dottie will be sadly missed by her three loving children: Patti Calhoun (John), John O., Jr (Rose) and Tony Lavertu (Kristi); Her siblings: Edward Riley (Ann) and Donna Wert; Sister-in-Law: Sharon Riley; 8 grandchildren: Katie (Fiancé Ken), Kyle, Kelly, Olivia, Tiffany (Joe), Ryan, Gabriella and Alexa; and 7 great grandchildren: Shelby, Devin, Cameron, Carter, Savanah, JD and RJ; her grand dog Mia and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Dottie was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Riley and her brother-in-law, Mark Wert. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing, Friday from 10 to 11 AM at the Tomlinson Funeral Home, P.C., 2207 Bristol Pike, Bensalem, PA 19020, followed by her service at 11 AM.
