Dr. James Joseph Sowa of Bensalem, passed away suddenly Monday, November 2, 2020. He was 64 years old. Born in Philadelphia, Jim was a resident of Bensalem for the last 40 years. He owned and operated Sowa Chiropractic Office in Bensalem for the last 40 years. Having grown up in Penndel, PA and graduating from Neshaminy High School in 1974, Jim completed his pre-chiropractic studies at New York Institute of Technology and graduated from New York Chiropractic College in 1979. Jim loved spending time with his family, whether it was cheering his sons on at their various sporting events or just spending time with them at home, he was a selfless father and husband, who always put his family first. Jim also enjoyed watching westerns, going to Bensalem baseball games, watching horse racing and working on his craft as a Chiropractor. He will be sadly missed by his beloved wife of 36 years, Barbara (Schumacher). Jim is also survived by his two loving sons, Alex Sowa (Kelsey) and Kurt Sowa; His mother: Alice Sowa and his two sisters: Diane Kralle (William) and Kathy Doncaster (Michael) and many loving friends, patients and colleagues. Jim was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Sowa. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing, Saturday from 9:30 to 11 AM at Our Lady of Grace Church, 225 Bellevue Ave, Penndel, PA 19047, followed by his Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM.
