Obituary for Jadwiga Wojciechowski (Kurowski)

Jadwiga Wojciechowski, of Bensalem, passed away on February 18th. She was 87 years old. Jadwiga was born in Lelice, Poland to Jan and Stanislawa Kurowski. She was the middle child of three children and emigrated to the United States in 1961 with her husband and young son. They lived in the Port Richmond section of Philadelphia for many years before moving to Bucks County to be closer to their children and grandchildren. She worked in the book binding industry for over 25 years. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, cooking, and doing all types of crafts. Jadwiga was known for her kindness and hospitality, and hosted many Easter, Christmas, and Thanksgiving gatherings for family and friends. She was known for her delicious Polish chrusciki, golabki and pierogis. She lived a fully extraordinary life; she loved the Lord and had so much love and care for everyone around her. She delighted in her children, grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews, and their children. She will be deeply missed by her loving husband of 66 years, Ryszard, as well as her children: Greg Wojciechowski (Mary), and Walt Wojciechowski (Kathleen), her grandchildren: Jeffrey Wojciechowski, Timothy Wojciechowski, Christopher Wojciechowski (Janice), Eric Wojciechowski, and Kyle Wojciechowski. She was predeceased in this life by her brother Ryszard Kurowski (Florence). She is survived by her sister, Theresa Gruska (Casimir), her niece, Doctor Lisa Tufankjian, DO (Dearon), and her nephews, Richard Kurowski (Gail), and Thomas Kurowski (Deborah). Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Viewing at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 1731 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem, PA 19020 on Saturday, February 25th from 9:30-11:00 AM, followed by her Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery.
