Joanne R. White (nee Castellano), born in Scranton, PA, a longtime resident of Feasterville, and most recently of Dover, PA., passed away peacefully on April 8th at her home surrounded by her family. She was 78 years old. Joanne worked at several jobs including as a Lunch Mother at Assumption B.V.M school where she was a long time parishioner, but time spent with family was the most important thing in her life.
Joanne will be sorely missed by her beloved husband of 60 years, John Patrick White, her children: Deborah Ann Spindler (Steven), Anne Cynthia Kayros (Steve), Jacquelyn Cummings (Kevin), and Joanne Adams (Thomas), as well as her 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, her brother, Vincent Castellano along with numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Joanne was preceded in death by her grandson, Daniel Tadrzysnki.
In retirement, Joanne and John spent 12 years living in Edgewater, FL enjoying the Florida sunshine. They also traveled frequently and went on 70 cruises, with the Casino and Evening Entertainment as Joanne’s favorite pastimes on the ship. She especially enjoyed those cruises that were shared with family members.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Wednesday, April 14th for 9:30-10:30 AM followed by her Mass at 10:30 AM at Assumption BVM Church, 1900 Meadowbrook Road, Feasterville-Trevose, PA 19053. Interment will take place at Washington Crossing National Cemetery on Thursday, April 15th at 10:30 AM.
