John P. Delaney of Philadelphia passed away Monday, June 27, 2022 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. He was 57 years old. Born in Darby, PA to the late James and Sarah (Hoover) Delaney. John worked for the Philadelphia Department of Corrections for over 30 years, retiring as a Warden in 2020. He was an avid Notre Dame Football fan and loved spending time with his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Tracy L. (Matela). John is also survived by his children: Jack Delaney, Matthew Brady, Aidan and Brendan Delaney; His siblings: Maryanne Martin (Art), Jim Delaney and Maureen Radtke (Tim) and his grandson, Matthew Brady, Jr; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation, Thursday eve from 6 to 8 PM at the Tomlinson Funeral Home, P.C., 2207 Bristol Pike, Bensalem, PA 19020 and again Friday from 9 to 10 AM at St. Dominic’s Catholic Church, 8504 Frankford Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19136, followed by his Mass at 10 AM.
