Joseph M. Gardner, Jr of Levittown passed away Sunday, November 6, 2022, at St. Mary Medical Center. He was 82 years old. Born in Philadelphia to the late Joseph M., Sr and Irene (White) Gardner, and was a resident of Levittown for the last 17 years and was formerly of Philadelphia. Joe was a graduate of St. Thomas Moore High School, Class of 1958. He worked as a firefighter for 31 years with the Philadelphia Fire Department, retiring as a Lieutenant. Joe served in the Army National Guard. He was a member of the American Legion Post# 945. He was also a fourth degree member of the Knights Of Columbus Council #4279, Cornwell Heights. Joe also enjoyed boating and spending time at Lake Wallenpaupack. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn F. (Lauer). Joe will be sadly missed by his two sons, Michael Gardner and Patrick Gardner (Bonnie). He is also survived by his sister, Irene “Dolly” Del Grosso; His niece and nephews: Danielle (Mark), Vincent, and John (Amy) and his great nieces: Ava, Abagail and Hayden. Joe was also preceded in death by his brother, John Gardner.
