Linda Clark (Day), 75 of Croydon (and most recently Langhorne), passed away July 1, 2022 with her family by her side. She was born in 1947 in Chicago, Il to the late Howard Day and Florence Osborne (as she would say, “her siblings’ Mother”). She lived in multiple places in Illinois, Michigan and Pennsylvania. She married the late Francis Clark in 1964 with marriage ceremonies in both Chicago and Croydon, PA. She lived in Croydon for over 50 years. Linda is survived by her 3 sons and their families, Patrick (Jen), Kevin (Missy), and Tim (Kim) and her “adopted” children, Tony Szogi and Lori Dowdy. Her grandchildren, Ashley, Hilary, Ryley, Ben, Bobby, Oliver and Maggie. She was also pre-deceased by brothers Billy and Bobby Day. She is survived by 4 siblings, Darlene Dobrowski, Mary Dee DePasquale, Alfred Day and Bruce Day; several aunts and uncles, dozens of cousins and dozens and dozens of nieces and nephews. All spread out across the country. Linda loved working with kids. She was instrumental in starting up the lunch program at St. Thomas Aquinas School. As her children were growing up, Linda relished when all the neighborhood kids gathered outside her home to play massive manhunts and every sport. The house in Croydon very much became the “Kool Aid” house as she was known to bring out drinks and iced tea on hot days. She was also an avid Bingo player and beef- and- beer attendee with her husband. Linda was also very active in the Women’s Auxiliary of the Croydon Fire Company beginning in the 60s through the 80s. Linda served as judge of Elections in the voting polls for decades.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Saturday 10:00 am at St. Thomas Aquinas Church 601 Bristol Pike, Croydon, PA 19021 followed by her funeral Mass at 11:00 am. Rite of committal St. Mark’s Cemetery in Bristol PA. The family asks that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Croydon Fire Company and the Joseph A. Schumacher VFW Post 1597 in Croydon.
