Mary Ellen Cook of Bensalem passed away Saturday, December 5, 2020, surrounded by her loving family. She was 68 years old. Mary was a lifelong resident of Bensalem. She worked for Blue Cross/Blue Shield and Nemours Children’s Hospital as an Administrative Assistant for over 40 years. Mary Ellen was an avid reader. She also enjoyed traveling in her earlier years, a keen interest in history, listening to music and watching her favorite TV Stations, including QVC and Hallmark. Mary Ellen was also a shopping enthusiast. Mary Ellen will be sadly missed by her loving siblings: Barbara Horan (the late Kenneth), James (Marian), John (Lisa), Robert Cook and Amy Cook Manning (Scott). She is also survived by her nieces and nephew: Sean, Meghan, Jessica and Rachael and her cat Pookie. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles H. and Marjorie F. (Cunningham) Cook. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation, Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30AM at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 1731 Hulmeville Rd., Bensalem, PA 19020, followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM. Rite of Committal Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mary Ellen’s memory can made to The Women’s Animal Center, 3839 Richlieu Rd., Bensalem, PA 19020, to support her love for animals.
