Jess, Alex, Dori, jennie and family, I am so sorry for your loss. I met Bob thru my cousin and he always made me laugh. I'll never forget him putting the crib together in the living room for you jess - i said yo bob i think your suppose to put it together in the room you are going to use it in. he said jul no problems i'm gonna put it in the room after it's altogether , he was living in oakford in a small house- at the time . parts were all over and hours later he finished it in the living room and then realized as he pushed it down the hall there was no way he was going to get it thru the doorway- so he pushed it back to the living room and took it apart and reassembled in your room. I never laughed so hard in my life- he looked at me and said i forgot about the door size and the angle. I just burst out laughing and said promise me you won't use duck tape to keep the kids diaper on. we laughed. he was so much fun and even when we lost contact and i would run into him it was like no time had passed. Remember all the fun things you did and know he loved you all. your in my thoughts and prayers.

Jess, Alex, Dori, Jennie and family/children and grandchildren. I’m so sorry for your loss. I’ve known bob for 34 years and he kept me smiling, laughing and shaking my head up straight up until one of the last times I saw him over the summer and he insisted Jennie, Alex, Jess and I all play a game of crochet with him! He lost every time but he didn’t care- he was playing for the fun of it. He was so kind and loving toward Alex, it was a pleasure to witness their relationship.
I was so young when I met him and he taught me a lot of life’s skills and showed me a side of nature that I did not know existed. He taught me how to cook, trap a raccoon, chop wood, paint, how to raise a turkey, build a fire and spent hours at Adventureland and his moms property on the Neshaminy creek catching worms and fishing. He taught me how to ride a snowmobile, quad and we would sometimes ride through the night. And he taught me how to drive a boat, waterski and knee board for many weekends on the Delaware. His stories were the best and watching him telling them with so much enthusiasm was even better. He was also a very talented mason. For some of those years we didn’t stay in contact but each time we reconnected our friendship, it was as if we had just talked the day before. He helped me many times in my life and if he couldn’t fix something he had a friend or knew someone who could. I’m grateful God put him in my life’s journey. Rest easy Bob Baxter.... thanks for giving me some really great memories and also such a beautiful, kind, intelligent and incredibly strong daughter.
