Robert D. Edwards, Sr. of Southampton, passed away Monday, June 27, 2022 at Southampton Estates. He was 89 years old. Born in Philadelphia to the late Harry D. and Helen (Post) Edwards, and a resident of Southampton for the last 6 years and was formerly of Philadelphia. Bob was a proud US Navy Veteran and Korean War Veteran. He worked as a Physical Plant Director for Thomas Jefferson University Hospital for over 20 years, then later with Arcadia University and Gwynedd Mercy University for many years. Bob along with his wife Josephine, owned and operated Creek Edge Garden Center in Philadelphia for over 55 years. He will be deeply missed by his beloved wife of 66 years, Josephine (Specca) Edwards. Bob is also survived by his three loving children: Robert D., Jr. (Joanne), Bruce (Sharon) and Douglas Edwards (Joanne); His sister: Dr. Frances Edwards; 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing, Friday from 10:30 to 11:30 AM at the Tomlinson Funeral Home, P.C., 2207 Bristol Pike, Bensalem, PA 19020, followed by his service at 11:30 AM.
