Stanley J. “Joe” Biehl Jr., of Bensalem, passed away on August 9, 2022. He was 83 years young. He is the Son of the late Stanley J. Biehl Sr. and Elsie Ellis Biehl. Joe will be deeply missed by his wife, Lois (nee Ritzen), his son, Eric J. Biehl, as well as his siblings: Ginger Pilawsky (Joe), Betty Lowery (Glenn), Janice Conville (Richard), Jeannie Rehm (the late George), and Barbara Keller (Steven) and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
He grew up in the Holmesburg part of Philly with his parents. Joe was a Veteran of the United States Navy, who served his country proudly from 1957-1959. During that time, he lost his best friend to an unfortunate accident when his ship was struck by another ship. After serving, he began his career driving and delivering papers for the Bulletin for the next 20 years. He continued with the Philadelphia Inquirer for another 20 years (Teamster Local #628). Joe, also known as “Make a deal Biehl” was a real people person, who represented the Philly spirit every day on his route. He really enjoyed the people he met along the way and developed many friendships in some of the toughest neighborhoods in Philly.
He was a lifetime boater who enjoyed his days out on the Delaware River with family and friends almost all summer long. He was a proud father of his son Eric, who enjoyed teaching him boating and watching him grow throughout life. Joe enjoyed his time living in Bensalem with his wife Lois of twenty plus years. They enjoyed many vacations, dancing and going to the casinos along the way. Joe and Lois enjoyed their condo in Naples Florida. It is there they again met new friends that are like family, that have had many good times together over the years.
