Obituary for Susan Kim Alexander

Our beautiful and vibrant Susan Kim Alexander passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at the Milton Hershey Penn State Medical Center in Hershey, PA.

Susan was born on November 20, 1971 in Taipei, Taiwan to Yong and David who later raised her and her older brother, Robert in Carlisle, PA. In 1993, Susan graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a degree in journalism.

She soon moved to New York City where she was employed in the marketing industry, but her true passion was her work as a standup comedian and entertainer. Susan’s passion to perform was complemented by her strong eye for talented comedians from NYC, Boston and San Francisco. With this passion, she created and took “Five Funny Females” nationwide.

There will be a void felt by her family and her many dear friends left behind to carry her torch. Susan had a light in her heart that made everyone feel special. She is extended family to her extensive network of friends who looked to her for support and encouragement. Her courage as an artist is only surpassed by her capacity to love and that is how she will be remembered. She is and always will be cherished in the memories we share with her.

She was the beloved daughter of the late David G. Alexander and her devoted mother Yong C. Alexander. She will be greatly missed by her mother, Yong, her stepfather, Jay Stahl and her brother Robert Alexander. Susan is also survived by her Aunt Heeyul Hong, her cousins Haekung Kim, Haesook Kim and Haechin Han, Haechin’s husband, Sang Han & their son, Daniel Han.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral on Sunday, March 13, 2022 at 1:00 pm at the Tomlinson Funeral Home located at 2207 Bristol Pike, Bensalem, PA 19020 followed by service at 2:00 pm. Interment private.
