Obituary for Walter L. "Sharky" Llewellyn III

Walter L. Llewellyn III (a.k.a Sharky)

Walter Leroy Llewellyn III of Bensalem left behind his earthly bonds after bravely fighting to
recover from a devastating motorcycle accident.

Born November 16, 1939, Walter married his wife of 50 years in 1960, Josephine (Lawrence) Llewellyn who preceded him in death.

Walter is survived by his fiancé Josephine (Dee) Simons, his children, Walter (Dianna) Llewellyn IV, Jody (Jeff) Rigle, and Shelly (Tom) Purvis. He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter (Elizabeth) Llewellyn Jr., sister Elizabeth (Betty) Millard and great-granddaughters Madisyn Rigle and Charlotte Rigle.
Walter is also survived by an ever growing family of grandchildren and (great-grandchildren); Christopher (Lindsey) Rigle (Kayla, Gracie), Joshua (Megan) Rigle (Grady, Bria), Nicole (Ken) Moser (Hailey, Hank, Effie), Robert (Liz) Voigt (Gavin, Riley, Logan, Conor), Brandon (Amber) Purvis (Lily, Violet), Tommy Purvis, Megan (Austin) Cocchiola (Beau), Christian Llewellyn and Andrew Kovacs.

Walter spent the majority of his life working several jobs (some at the same time) to provide for his family including Blumenthal Chocolate, Yellow Cab, Uniroyal Rubber, Hampton Volkswagen and Team Toyota. In his leisure time he enjoyed surf fishing, camping, motorcycle riding, artistic roller skating, citizens band radio, and hunting.

Over his life span he was involved in many organizations at many levels: Warriors-Watch Riders (member), A.S.A.C. (President), Eastern Rod &Reel (founding member), Brigantine Sharks (founder), N.J.B.B.A, N.C.B.B.A. and the N.R.A.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Walter’s Visitation on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at the Tomlinson Funeral Home from 2:00-3:00 PM followed by his Memorial Service at 3:00 PM.
